Veteran Dental Solutions

About us

We exist because nobody else was looking.

Veterans' backs, knees, hearing and mental health all have advocates, specialists and well-worn claim pathways. Teeth had almost nobody. That gap is the entire reason this organisation exists.

Our purpose

To empower veterans with the education, assessments and reporting they need to access funded dental treatment.

Our vision

That every veteran in need, regardless of their healthcare status or where they live, can easily understand and access the dental services, information and support they are entitled to.

We specialise in supporting the Australian veteran community to access the dental care they need and have earned. We do one thing: the diagnosis, assessment and reporting that establishes the link between an oral health condition and ADF service.

That is a specialised discipline, and deliberately so. It is the clinical evidence step that has historically been missing for veterans, and doing it properly is what gives a dental claim the best chance of being accepted.

What we stand on

Six things we hold to.

Veterans for veterans

Our team includes people who have served, working alongside experienced dental and medical practitioners. You won't have to explain your background from scratch, and you'll be dealing with people who understand both your dental health and the DVA system.

No cost, as it should be

There are no out-of-pocket expenses to you for diagnosis, imaging, assessment or submission. Not a promotion, not contingent on outcome. If any part of your situation fell outside that, we would tell you first.

Care wherever you are

Eligibility should not depend on your postcode. We work with dental, medical and radiology providers across Australia: capital cities, regional centres and remote communities alike.

Clinical rigour

Every report is authored by an AHPRA-registered dental practitioner and written against the relevant Statements of Principles. We would rather submit one thorough assessment than ten thin ones.

Straight answers

If we don't think you have a claim, we will say so. If someone else is better placed to help, we will tell you who. We would rather lose the work than waste your time.

No end date on support

Oral health is a lifelong commitment. We stay available after the outcome to help you understand what it means and access the treatment it opens up.

How a case is handled

Three roles behind every assessment.

Whoever you speak to, the same three functions sit behind your case: someone who has served and understands your background, a registered dental practitioner who assesses the evidence and authors the report, and a coordinator who gathers the records and manages the DVA submission.

Veteran liaison

Your first point of contact. Gathers your documentation, books your examination and imaging, and keeps you updated from start to finish.

Clinical assessment

An AHPRA-registered dental practitioner reviews the evidence, assesses the link to your service, and writes the report that goes to DVA.

Claims coordination

Manages imaging, charting and clinical notes from providers nationwide, and handles the upload of your completed report to DVA.

Being straight with you

Setting expectations.

Our focus is assessment and reporting

Our work is the diagnosis, clinical assessment and DVA-compliant reporting that establishes your entitlement. We are also building a network of treatment providers so that access to care is easier once your claim is accepted, and in the meantime we are glad to point you toward DVA-registered providers near you.

We work alongside your advocate

We produce the clinical evidence for the dental component of your claim. If you have an advocate managing your broader case, we work with them and keep them in the loop. If you do not have one, we can point you toward advocacy services.

We can't promise an outcome

Nobody can, and you should be wary of anyone who does. Only DVA determines eligibility and entitlement. What we can promise is that the clinical evidence supporting your claim will be thorough, accurate and properly argued.

We don't publish patient testimonials

Not because we don't have grateful clients, but because we advertise a regulated health service. Under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law, testimonials about clinical care are prohibited. Anyone in this space showing you patient reviews of clinical treatment is either not a health service or not complying.

Next step

You've already done the hard part.

You served. Getting the dental consequences of that service recognised shouldn't be another battle, and it shouldn't cost you anything. Tell us where you're at and we'll take it from there.

No cost, no obligation. If we're not the right fit we'll tell you, and point you somewhere that is.
